What's your Brand ?

Saturday, July 07, 2012

One of my professors asked me that question and at first I did not understand it. How can I have a brand? Well, let me explain it to you.

According to Business Dictionary.com a brand is a unique design, sign, symbol, words, or combination of these, employed in creating an image that identifies a product and differentiates it from its competitors. Over time, this image becomes associated with a level of credibility, quality, and satisfaction in the consumer’s mind.

So, our personal brand is how we carry ourselves. How someone views your personality, look, commitment, work ethic, family life, and everything else that makes you, you.

So my question to you, is what is your brand?

I’m not sure what brand I currently carry, but I do know what I want mine to be. I will post a blog later with my “Dream Brand”. I challenge you to develop yours as well. How do we know what we are working for, if we do not know what we want to be?

You're not going to believe this I've been thinking about this for the longest time. Maybe not in those words but the same concept. I'm going to take your challenge so you can look for a blog from me describing my brand. I look forward to reading yours. I also loved the picture at the bottom.

Love this blog...and you are so right! We have to define ourselves so that we don't end up letting others define us by default and then live that that level of quality or standard!
