I'll try to make this brief!

Saturday, July 07, 2012

It hasn't been the best of months. I turned 61, had to put a 13 yr old dog to sleep, worked too many doubles (yes the $$ is great, but it tired me out). The boss has been a b!#@# and it's hot outside. I've regained over 10 lbs that I worked hard to lose. I haven't done well on the 5% challenge either.

So here are the reasons I should be happier: my darling grandson is 4 months old and rolling around like a champ, smiling , cooing and quite pleased with himself. Alexis and I had a great shopping trip the other day and she miraculously had just enough money for the treasures she wanted (thanks Tom of Tom's Coffee, Cards and Gifts). My Aunts are in town from Ireland, South Dakota, and Tennessee so I'm going to have some qualty family time this weekend. My DH admitted that even though he hadn't originally wanted a dog, he did miss her and maybe in a little while we should consider getting another. I have a hobby (rubberstamping) with gives me friends and an opportunity to earn some $$ to support that habit ;^D I'm still active as a Girl Scout leader and people don't believe I'm really 61 (or so they tell me!)

So, I'm going to restart July on a positive note and get moving and hit the 170's again, because I'm NOT buying bigger pants and the size 12's are feeling snug. I could start by walking to Julyfest instead of driving emoticon

    That is a good start!

    Do you have plan?

And I recommend to focus on one thing to implement. My experience is that when I focus on 1 thing, not matter how simple it is, it gets built into my habits. When I have 3-5 things to improve, all struggles eventually.

Keep you head up. It sounds like you have the right attitude. Focus on the positives like you're doing and July WILL be great. We're all here to cheer you on!

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. We had to put our 12 year old dog to sleep a few months ago too. She had been my furry friend since college...before husband, kids, everything. Not an easy thing to do.

Hoping things in your life have already begun to improve and you'll soon feel better in those size 12's. emoticon

My condolences on the loss of your dear dog... It sounds like it has been a tough month in a lot of ways.
But you have decided to stop instead and count your marvelous blessings. How wonderful ~ thank you for inspiring me to do the same. Wishing you some beautiful rainbows in the near future! emoticon emoticon
