Toughed up our Boot Camp

Saturday, July 07, 2012

We complained a bit that we were getting soft at our Momma's Boot Camp, so this week- I got one of the workouts from the gym I used to take the Boot Camp Class at from one of the women that still attends it. I had about 4 that she wrote down to choose from, but went with this diddy for today. First off- I warmed up by jogging a mile on the track- 9 pace.

Today we did a 50X15 set - which means- 50 seconds of the exercise with a 15 second rest before you moved to the next station. We had 5 stations that we did 4 times through.
Station 1- steering wheel- hold a 8lb weight a twist like steering wheel
Station 2- squats with resistance bands
station 3- push up position- dumbell rows- 8 lbs
station 4 calf raises
station 5 mountain climbers and Burpees- I did 2 and 2

4 times - at 20 seconds each with 10 second rest- Russian Twists
2 times each side 20 seconds with 10 second rest- Side Planks

Then I ran another 2 miles - about 8:30 pace - 1 mile with one of the ladies and the other myself. It was humid AND I did the tempo running last night so I was tired. I burned almost over 6000 calories this week.Granted I am using the exercise calculator and its adjusted to my weight- so its give or take. I have still remained pretty dedicated this week with tracking, and making the best choices I can. TOM arrived this week, so next week- going to see if the weight has changed at all- as well as measurements. I feel good- no major pains still. Leg was a smidge tight, but overall still feeling good. We are heading North to Maine for a nice vacation with the family. Plan to bring my wetsuit and bike- there is a lake. I will miss my 5k and Triathlon this coming week but will do my own. I most likely will not be online for this either. See you in a week.......
