Time to get back on the workout bandwagon! Its so easy to let myself lapse into a state of perpetual laziness when it gets hot out and its been smoky from all the fires. I also want to avoid paying for a rec center pass for the summer because that becomes essential in the winter time, so I want to get fresh air while I can. I recently purchased an awesome kick-your-ass DVD by Jillian Michaels called 6-week six pack, and I want to start doing that regularly. I still have to work on balancing my workout, hobbies, and household chores during the week, sometimes I tend to focus on the hobby, or spend all my time cleaning up. Then with work travel, its so easy to get out of the habit of working out. I have a training next week and I am planning on working out every day, especially since this will be an indoor conference. The last one I didn't feel as bad about it because we were out wading in the stream for half a day each day.

I went for a lunch walk yesterday and a short (but difficult) jog uphill after work. I want to make my new habit to achieve some sort of excercise every single day even if it is just my 20-25 minute lunch walk. Something is better than nothing. I finally got some new running shoes that work for me, after a disappointing purchase of reeboks that were the wrong size (rural living means online shopping).

We'll see how I do. I should probably start logging my workouts to keep myself on track.

    Hey - I'm training for a 5K in august - you should do it with me! I'm doing couch to 5k - they have an app now that is VERY motivating. I've gone 3 weeks without missing a session! I even came back from camping last night and jumped on the treadmill.

BTW - Diamond mountain is next week - sorry I didn't give you more notice but Grandpa has been wishy washy about going with his health issues and we weren't going to go without him. You should try to make it if you can! We'll be there on the 14th through the 22nd.

Good job on your exercise! Keep it up!
