Pneumonia

My good friend, Patti, who helps me get in and out of the pool when we exercise has pneumonia. I have not been in the pool all week and I am crawling the walls.

emoticonSo, I'm down on myself for not doing any exercise for a week. I have not sparked for a week but I have eaten things like fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Hamburgers and strawberry shortcakes. This has been a r-e-a-l-l-y long period of eating wrong.

emoticonSo, I won't be able to get to the pool for a couple of weeks because I have a hard time with stairs and they're putting a new elevator in my building. So, no access for me who does not do stairs well for a couple more weeks. However, I'm going to try to do stairs while the elevators is being repaired and show myself that I can do stairs. They also installed a chair lift from basement to first floor which scares me to death but I might try using it.

OK, well, onward and away.

P.S. I know it sounds like I have lots of excuses for not using the lift or doing stairs but I don't know if I'm too heavy for the lift or if the lift will break if I use it. I know that I am going to try to just walk the halls and get off my a - - instead of making excuses for not exercising. And tomorrow I'm writing down everything I eat.

    Will be praying for a speedy recovery for your friend, Patti. In the meantime, just walking the halls and doing a few stairs at a time will give you some exercise.

    Its been a strange week for me, too.
Have you seen any of the chair exercises they have on SparkPeople or the internet? Maybe that will help until you are able to get back in the pool.
I will pray for Patti to get well. Poor lady!

    Hi Jem emoticon I know it's hard to get back on track believe it happens to me and I think I eat out of anger with myself for not excersing. Don't be so hard on yourself try doing sitting down exercises. just keep doing it even if it's a little it will help you. Focus and logon to Sparks and excersise. emoticon emoticon emoticon Believe in yourself! emoticon emoticon
