I am new to SP and blogging. I have done really good these past 2 weeks..I have tracked everything and actually began exercising. The hardest part has been the exercise. I haven't done anything called exercise in the past several years except doing preschool dances at work..pretty sad. I have read tons of articles, bought DVD, have access to a free gym on the AF Base, I own a weight machine (have no idea how to use it), a treadmill with tv, an elliptical, hand weights, bands..must I go on. Well I decided I would start exercising...I don't like the Louisiana heat & humidity and sweating like a pig so I started on the elliptical...first time..lets have the drum roll...1 minute! Ok well I have now worked up to about 40 minutes at the most. My next move was the dreaded workout dvd. I have had the 30 Day Shred in my house for lots of 30 days but it doesn't work well in a drawer. First day (several months back) I did a whooping 2 minutes...didn't shred a thing! I decided to give it another try. Day 1 17 minutes and I felt like I had been beat with a stick. I was pretty sore the next morning....but decided to try again. I made it through the whole thing. Now don't get me wrong..I'm sure if anybody was watching this uncoordinated old lady they would have lost more calories laughing then I did doing the dvd. Today I am so sore I can barely move..so I think I will do the elliptical.
