I don't think I stretched enough after working out today. My lower back is pretty sore this evening, as are my shoulders. That is not usual for me, but I usual do a lot more stretching. I cut my routine at the gym a little short as they closed early today due to the holiday. (I was just happy they were open at all!) I also started running intervals again this morning with my friend Thinnermorgan. We did 5 min walk/2 min jog intervals for a little over 2 miles. We made plans to go out again on Friday morning at 9am. I want to go out every other day, but her schedule is busier than mine, so I might have to get the guts up to start running on my own. I don't know why but I don't like to run alone. I don't mind walking alone, but not running. There is probably something significant about that. LOL I also discovered that once again I need new sneakers. The ones I have are pretty well worn, and don't do much to cushion my feet anymore. I guess I'll have to break down and purchase a new pair this month.
After the gym, my niece and I (and Cooper) went out to the farm for a few hours. Ended up having dinner with the family that was around. I spent most of the time out there sitting in the shade reading. There is more of a breeze up on the hill where my parents' farm is situated, so it was quite pleasant. Dinner was lovely and included fresh picked blueberries from my dad's blueberry patch, and lettuce, peas, and beets from the garden.
I said my farewells to my niece this evening. She isn't flying out until early Friday morning, but I probably won't get a chance to see her again before she leaves. She is spending tomorrow paddling with her parents, and I have company coming tomorrow, then an appointment in the late afternoon. I hope she has fun in Australia. I offered to continue sending care packages to her once she knows her mailing address at the university down there. They'll have to be small ones, due to postage costs, but if she thinks of something she needs/wants I will send it to her. I am a wonderful auntie that way!
