Happy Birthday, America!!!
I ran/walked the Freedom day 4-miler! It was NOT easy but it was my fault for not really training. I've been running more than usual but it was nothing compared to what it was today. Next time, I will be prepared and will definitely run the entire time!
Nathan, my hubby keeps calling me "little-ster" and keeps commenting on how flat my stomach is. Me? A flat stomach? NO WAY! haha It's cute and I definitely appreciate the compliment. I still have 24 lbs to go to get to my goal weight but in the mean time, I'm lovin' the way I feel...this is a marathon, not a sprint. As long as I see at least 1.5 -2.0 lb loss a week, I'm a happy camper!
Diet has been great! After the 4 miler, we went to this French bakery...all I kept thinking was, why the heck are we going to a bakery after such a great workout.? The girls I ran with all did Crossfit. I'm not a fan but I definitely respect the women who do it because it is HARD CORE! Allie is one of those women who literally can eat anything and not gain an ounce...Sharon is about the same as me, a yo-yo dieter with a goal to be tiny, and Mollie, tall, in good shape but wanting to lose the last 10-15 lbs. After talking, Mollie decided to do the 24 day challenge and starts up on Tuesday and we both ordered the same thing, egg white omelette with spinach, tomatoes, onions and chicken breast. No cheese and only 1 slice of whole grain bread. It was pretty delicious. Sharon grabbed an eggs benedict which looked fantastic but looking at it, all I could think of was how if I ate that, I would probably not be able eat for the rest of the day! haha We all started talking about dieting and working out...which I always find so funny that women have this natural tendency to swap secrets on those two things...that's just the way it goes I guess. Anywho, I feel like I'm rambling but I guess i"m just proud of myself for really integrating my eating habits into a lifestyle. I even got full half way through. Tonight, Nathan and I are going to grab some sushi! I love sushi. I plan on being good...substutiing the white rice with brown. I saw 153.4 on the scale this morning which made me happy...can't wait to see 149!!! SOON! I feel it!
