Today didn't work out as planned. I had planned on practicing Yoga. That didn't work out. I stepped on the scale and I was up two pounds. I didn't expect that. I made a tomato and cucumber salad with dressing and the dressing was the most caloric part of the salad. I forgot how many calories were in salad dressing because I usually make my own dressing. I did get a bit read in the book for the my graduate class. On the other hand, one of the members of my skills group isn't responding to emails so practice before mid-terms is out of the question before we have to be evaluated. My back aches today, but I think it is my fault for not exercising today. I lost track of time when I was reading the book for class. Also, hubby was home today so he was walking the through the space where I workout. I did also pay far more attention to what I ate, mostly because the scale was up. Watching the scale also leads me to re-evaluate my exercise program. I have been doing P90X. The drawback is that it is intense and my back aches after some workouts and my knee aches after the leg workout. The advanage is I have gained alot of strength in just a few weeks. Other workouts aren't reducing the pain (neither is my TENS unit.) Also other workouts are not increasing my strength. I think I will have to consider my options here.

It sounds like you're just having an off day today. I'm sure things will lighten up.

I hate watching the scale. I generally try not to worry about what the scale reads as opposed to how I look and feel.

Try a hot epsom salt bath for your aches, in the chance that it might help!

Oh, and Happy Independence Day!
