I'm not quite sure what to write about, which is weird because writing is something I do for a living! :)
I'm so glad I found SparkPeople because I was really beginning to give up hope that I'd ever find something that I could really stick with. I've done a few "diets" in the past, and constantly heard people say "You really have to be committed to this if you want to do it.' I thought that was kind of a crazy thing to say because um, who doesn't want to lose weight?!? I finally get what that means, though, and I'm slowly learning ways to incorporate this into my everyday life.
The more time I devote to learning about this new lifestyle, the more information I crave. I feel like I'm opening a whole new world of recipes and fitness activities and healthy lifestyles. It's a bit scary because I worry that I will fail as I have with my attempts in the past, but at the same time it's exciting. When I weighed myself this week I couldn't believe the scale had moved. I actually weighed myself a few different times just to make sure I had really lost! ;-)
I made the choice to learn about this program slowly, in my own time, and slowly make it part of my life, and it's working for me. I'm super excited to see the results a few months - even weeks - from now!
Hey guess what, turns out blogging isn't so bad after all!
