My daughter called frustrated about a decision she had to make yesterday. She has two jobs and they were conflicting. She was feeling like she needed to quit one and wasn't sure which one it would be. One job she was embarrassed to have on her resume, but it was consistent income, something she needs right now. There was also the possibility of becoming a manager in the future. The other job was so much less predictable as far as pay, but she had the freedom to be creative. They were also happy to work with her on scheduling issues. She called, not because she wanted advice as much as she needed me to tell her what she wanted to do, if that makes sunse. She knows which way to go, but needs the reassurance of someone telling her that she has made a good choice. Now fast forward to this morning.
My scripture in my e-mail this morning was 2Cor 3:17. It says that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. immediately thought of my daughter. The job she chose, due to freedom, will be the better job in the long run because of the type of character it will attract. They will treat her more fairly and will allow her to be a more creative and excited persona bout the job. The other will attract people with less morals and they will take advantage of her and be more likely to cheat her out of what is rightfully hers. I think she made a good decision.
