While setting up my new computer and checking out the included word processor I came across a document. I can't positively state that I am the author but I thought it was worth sharing. There's a note at the end to Mike and in 2004, the year the document was created, my pastor was Mike. In truth, the author is irrelevant but the ideas are very relevant.

Mike, Success is defined in many ways. Most writers of self-help books don’t define it but you can infer that they believe that success is wealth and power. I don’t believe either defines success. If a person’s goal is to be the best janitor there is, and they are, then they are successful. I think that you’re successful if you’ve lived an ethical and honorable life and honestly don’t look back with regret. There’s a lot of detail that goes with that definition. However, your status in society is irrelevant.
14. Be part of the solution
15. Be upbeat
16. Lead – don’t push
17. To climb the ladder of success make sure your ladder is against the correct wall
18. There is no such thing as a “self made man”
19. Be a good money steward
I hope there's something in this that you can use.
Enjoy the ride,
