One Day at a Time

Monday, July 02, 2012

I am now living in almost constant back pain but I still manage to get on with life. All of my fitness minutes now are from walking. It doesn't cause undue strain on my back and in some cases eases the muscle tightness. I thank God each day that He gives me the strength to do what is necessary and to live with the pain. One of my favorite inspirational quotes is, "I will neither murmur nor repine at what the Lord's providence may permit, because Faith can trust Him, come what may".

Goals Met:

I am now vegan. I met that goal on June 28th, 2 days before the date set for the goal. I eat a lot of raw veggies and fruit and have learned to remake my recipes from my carnivore days. Vegan websites are good for learning how to make "meat" from scratch so that when DH grills I have vegan rib-lets, sausage or burgers to grill too. I have also discovered that fruit ka-bobs are great on the grill.

I am also 8 pounds under my goal weight. I have been loosing by between 1/2 - 1 pound a week for 3 months now. I have lost 3 sizes in clothes and have more energy than I have had in years.

That is great you are losing. . Yes we have to keep our eyes on him. I have a few pains also. I added you.

I have sciatic pitched nerve on left leg. I am over weight but this week I am really sorting my Nutritoin log out to go better next week and doing an exercise of my choice but not able to lift the leg as high with Keeping Fit Cardio with Andrea Metcalfs. So I compisate to the other exercises on the video. The side steps and I can do the dance steps not as fast but at my speed.

Hubby and I are Christians and retired. Please drop by my page. I am an encourager for people. That is my gift from him as well as he is my Lord. I give him the Glory.

With out him. I am nothing.

    You inspire me as well.

I had to end up at a Chiopracter or be in a wheechair with my back at 35. I went for a year for ajustments. . Never had to go backafter the year. I could not sit without the kids pulling me back up every time for the pain. Mine was lumbar.

I'm encouraged by you today. I struggle with foot pain, so it was a milestone yesterday for me to hike for an hour. Running is way out of the question.

You have a great attitude. Keep your eyes on the Lord.

Interesting that the vegan diet suits you so well. Sorry about the pain but you are doing what you can to minimise its effects on your life.

That's great, about the lost weight, I mean, because less weight makes it so much easier for your back! I do hope somehow you can find some help with all that pain, as it does wear a person down, but you have a great attitude, and most of all, a relationship with the Lord, so keep on keeping on! emoticon emoticon
