And the beat goes on.....

Days 3-6 all went pretty well, and by that I mean no disasters!

Ate well all weekend, not perfect. Still far better than the old me.

Worked out every day, big plus. I find I can deal with most anything, as long as I have a good 60 minute cardio session each day.

Not getting in as much water as I do at home, because there is a problem with the well, so we are on bottled water and trying to make sure it all lasts till Friday. Maybe I will supplement with wine....just a thought!

Also had a bit of an eye opener from a friend. And have decided to spend more time on my lifestyle pursuits and less time on the computer...i.e. my relentless quest for SP points, reading blogs, articles, stories and studies. Not that I don't enjoy every minute of it, but I really am online too much and missing out on other things.
So going forward, you may see less of me online, so there is less of me in general.

Hope all my emoticonS are doing well and enjoying a wonderful summer so far!

All the best, TTFN.

You are doing so well! I completely understand about your choice to spend less time on SP. Even a few days into it, I realized what a time sucker it could be, and I've often struggled with whether or not I should really continue... but I think it's just like the food and exercise. We have to learn how to moderate. I hope you find just the right balance!

Addiction is the right word! At least it is a tad bit healthier! I was finding I would get up in the morning, go right to the computer, then not have time to work out!!! I don't think SP means for that to happen!! I am still having a hard time, because I like all my Spark Friends!!! Like everything else in life, I need to find balance!!!!! Don't go too far away, you help me a lot!!! emoticon

I'm with you Terri, I spend far too much time on my computer and especially sparks! Being leader of several teams requires time but still . . . I CAN cut down some!
Like others, sparks has been a lifeline for me and one that I cannot let go . . . I know I would flounder without it and without all the many supportive friends. So, I'll cut down some but still be very visible!

Hugs to you on your journey here, I'm wishing you all the best!

I had to do the same thing a year or so ago.... I found I could literally spend HOURS on Spark every day if I let myself. Had to break the addiction!

You're doing great!! And good for you deciding to get off the computer so much! I hope it works out well for you. I've found that I NEED this site to keep me focused and on-track, so I just do my best to balance things out. Just don't stay away too long, okay? :)

The computer has been a big lifeline for me in this journey. This is such a safe place for me to come while I make the changes necessary to live in a more healthy body. Now a time may come when I don't need it as much; for now, it's a lifeline tbat I can't afford to let go.
