Today was my "rest" day, which meant no exercising. Since I didn't really have any "cheat" meals this week (besides my 2 sodas on my high carb days) I decided to take a "cheat day" (like it says in Chris Powell's book.) I really don't like calling it a Cheat Day so I think I will try to think of a better name for it. I still tried to make healthy choices and measured and wrote everything down so I could figure out my facts for today. My goal was to stay under 1200 calories, but not look so much at low carb/high carb. I still ate 5 times today and drank my gallon of water. My facts for today: 1017 calories, 26.4 fat, 145.5 carb, 50.4 protein. The best part of today was being able to have some carbs AND a little bit of fat together in one meal, instead of having to choose one or the other. ; ) My hope for today is to maintain my weight from yesterday. If I gain a little bit, that's ok (and expected) because I'll be back on track tomorrow, which is a low-carb day where I can hopefully lose more than I gain today. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
I also did my shopping for this week and portioned out the meats and cut up the veggies/fruits. Planning really is key to eating healthy!
One week and 4.8 pounds down..... many more to follow!
