Guess what? I didn't have to step foot in the barnyard today!
After breakfast I got busy mowing the lawn while the family headed out for Taekwondo. I think the grass is finally slowing down a little bit as it was a much easier job today. I'm thankful!
After I got cleaned up from that I drove across town to pick Maegann up from class as we needed to be at the hair salon at 1. They were just finishing up and I couldn't get a good shot of her facing me, but this is with the new instructor. I like him and his attention to detail.
We made it right on top for our hair appointment and both got our hair cut shorter. I need to decide if I want to keep the longer in the front to pull back or whack it off next time I go in.
Got home and had to take a short nap as I was so tired. Didn't have much time either as there was 30 minutes before we had to get the turkey/dressing/gravy ready to go for the drive to church for our class party. It turned out yummy! I filled up on green salad and a broccoli salad and then had a little bit of turkey, potatoes and dressing. Just right!
Now we're home watching Lawrence Welk and may have time to watch some of the Biggest Loser season we started before we all went our separate ways. Planning to make a fruit smoothie for my snack. Sounds good as I haven't had enough fruit today and we're pushing 100 tonight.
Tomorrow they are having a 4th of July BBQ after church and I think we'll stay even though I have nothing to offer by the way of food. They always have plenty and we don't eat much other than the meat and that's being provided by the church. I was thinking about making spaghetti for supper, but may do that Monday so I'll have more time to make the french bread. Thinking tacos would be easier.
Oh....here's proof that I am working on the music lesson plans! Slowly but surely!
