Ending June and starting July

Saturday, June 30, 2012

I'm not at all surprised that June wasn't a stellar month for me. My weight fluctuated but, in the end, I had only lost a pound. A single pound is better than gaining though! I did have some NSV's that I'm very proud of. I dropped a pant size! Just yesterday, I thought pizza sounded good for dinner, but in the end, I didn't give in. I haven't eaten much ice cream, but the frozen yogurt is now a comfort food. Unluckily, I blew it at lunch today and I'm paying for it now.

In July, I am going to work on lowering my caloric intake, add more fruits and veggies, and be more consistent with strength training and core exercises. I'm aiming for a 10 pound loss by the end of July. This will be hard, but it's not impossible. The best I can do is try!

I would rather lose a pants size than see 10 pounds lost on the scale any month! I hope you saw it as tremendously encouraging. Keep up the good work. Your goals sound great!

Dropping a pants size is far more accurate than the scale...and awesome! The scale is the least reliable measure of success and only one, small part of the equation.

    Keep up the great work!

you can do it, just do some planning for meals and snacks. I have found that when I fail to plan I just fail all the way around. I work on what I am going to be eating for the week on the weekend, Does not always go as planned, but I always have something healthy planned for my snacks at work. Planning has helped me SO MUCH! I think you did great in June, 1 lb down means you are going in the right direction just at a slower pace than you would like.
