Bountiful Basket fruits and veggies

Saturday, June 30, 2012

I picked up my Bountiful Basket today. It was full of lots of really good fruits and veggies. I always enjoy getting a basket as it is cheaper than buying the produce in the store and it is always a surprise!

Those are just a few things in my basket today!!

I feel a little more optomistic today! I have been tracking my food regularly, although I have yet to stay in my calorie range. I am usually over. But it does help to see it on the page!!

I am still talking myself out of exercise, but that, too, will come!! I know it!

Have a great evening!

I am still having trouble getting into the calorie range, but I have noticed a decline in my overages since tracking consistently. It will work for you... just keep at it. Just being aware of what you eat makes a difference.

    Isahlia and Lindamariez1,

Bountiful Baskets are a coop. Not sure where they started, but they are all over the western United States. Go to bountifulbaskets.org to see if they have one in your state and county. Order on Monday and pick up your basket on Saturday. It is a reasonable price. You pay $3 the first time for a basket and after that you don't pay the $3. Then you pay $15.00 for the fruits and veggies, 50% of each and $1.50 handling fee. So for $16.50 you get a basket of produce. The fun part is...you never know what you are going to get! If you like to cook, it is an excellent way to discover new veggies and make new recipes!!

Hope they have a coop in your neck of the woods!!

Angie

I've never heard of a bountiful basket before is it something you get locally? Each day we track and we can see what we are doing allows us to make a new small change that empowers us to be better the next time! Great Job keeping track of everything!
