sooo, I felt great yesterday after the walk/run, and then I got up this morning.
sore muscles? nope.
tight hip flexors? nope.
bone pain in my left foot? uh, yeah. ouch.
so I don't think my body was ready to actually RUN, and my foot says we won't be doing that for a while. so my July 5Ks will have to be on the elliptical for the zero impact aspect... in a couple of weeks, I'll try the treadmill again, but with a taped foot to make sure everything stays where it should... apparently ligaments and such can shift, causing a bit of stress in the foot... if it hurts again after that, I'll either visit the doc or will bow to the "you shouldn't run; just stay onthe elliptical; you know you like it better anyway" gods...
