Last night’s fast food dinner (Friday). I had planned for Del Taco and I was a little bummed we ended up at Jack in the Box. It turned out to be a good thing. Del Taco doesn't have nice green salads. Although I really wanted a burrito.
Hubby had fries and they were staring right at me with every bite of salad I took. I love curly fries and I was tempted to eat a few. Then I recalled the phrase "fries equal fat thighs." I read it somewhere and it stuck with me. If I'm going to make permanent changes, things like fries need to be a very rare occurrence. Since I am only a week into focusing on how I eat, I figured it is best to stay away from fries for now.
So Remember:
On top of that I also had to remind myself that this needs to be a permanent choice. Fries are not good for me. I don’t need to eat them. Eating fries is like throwing sand in the gas tank of a car. I wouldn’t do that do my car, so why would I do it to myself. Yes fries are yummy, very yummy. But so is lots of other better things to eat. I am making permanent choices, not temporary ones. A fry now and then…ok. But I don’t need to eat an entire serving EVER.

My weight today is 176.2. I was close to that last Friday. My weigh in day is Monday. Last Friday I was about 176 if I recall right. By monday I was back to 180. My ONE goal this weekend is to maintain my weight. I still want to be 176 on Monday. I don't want to undo all my hard work from this week.
This weekend I will:

NOT reward myself with food, I am not a

IF I have

it will be a very small piece. However, I plan to say "No Thank You"

I will track my food and stay on course!
This mornings breakfast (425 cals) on track.
Two small pancakes with a measured portion of butter and NO syrup. Blueberries are my syrup substitute and I LOVE IT! I actually don't like syrup anymore

One egg and 2 pieces of bacon.
This afternoon is the family birthday party where I expect there to be food I'll have to say no to. Time to practice healthy choices!
