How the body uses 1200 calories for basic needs:
Heart 12% (144 cal)
Kidney 12% (144 cal)
Liver 23% (276 cal)
Brain 23% (276 cal)
Skeletal Muscle 30% (360 cal)
This is simply the basic needs of your organs and body parts. This does not include moving AT ALL. This is why they recommend never going under 1200 calories because then you are depriving your organs of the calories that are necessary for them to function properly.
