It is 2 full weeks since I started a plant-based eating plan. I want to weigh myself.
I have a virus and should wait before doing that. It is frustrating. I want to know if I lost anything.
My old cravings seem gone. That is reason enough for me to keep eating like this.
I re-read the book to figure out where I go from here. Reduce things from animals and reduce sodium even more, start making soups and/or drink some of my salads. That is only Phase 2. There are 4 Phases. The last Phase has almost no foods from animals, including dairy. But alternatives are available where I live: yogurts, ice creams, mayo,and ground nuts and seeds and chick peas for soup thickenings. sugar is pretty much non-existent in Phase 4. But there are ways around that, too.
I could drive to the pool to weigh myself... Nah.. it is about 11 miles each way.
I don't trust my home scale and I forgot what I weighed last time I used that one.
I am looking for NSRs (non-scale rewards) like looser pants or a thinner face. Well, my glands are swollen so, if anything, my face looks fatter. And the veggie diet has given me gas so my stomach is actually bigger. This isn't fair!
This is truly frustrating! Chris
