Ah shoot! Dang fast food calories..

Saturday, June 30, 2012

I worked out this morning again with my husband. Later, I decided to go by Jack In the Box...I've already gone over my calories for today. Ah well stuff happens, all I can do is try to do my best for the rest of the day. A few more pounds lost and I'll be back at the point when I signed up for SP.

As of today I'm 253.5

When I first signed up on this account I put in 250lbs.

I was up to 260 so I'm pretty happy. Even so, it's a long way to go. I'm sure it will be worth it.

Excellent! Never belittle what you have accomplished. It is easy for us to see how far we have to go instead of celebrating how far we have come. I have found this journey to be so much more than "just a weight loss program." I have learned a great deal about myself. What my motivations are. What I want in life. How to set and achieve goals. How NOT to give up on myself and my dreams. It's not always easy, but it is definitely interesting.

You are right about today's calories. Try to make as healthy of choices as you can for the rest of the day. I have found that, for me, it helps to focus on adding in good stuff rather than eliminating "bad" stuff. For example, never used to eat many fruits or vegetables. Now I focus on getting in a lot of those and when I am successful, I naturally tend to eat less (I get full more easily) and am much less attracted to sweets (my nemesis!). Celebrate that you have tracked your food intake for today. That's a big, big deal!! Here at the beginning, tracking is really more to teach you what you tend to do more than for you to try to eat perfectly. When I track, I learn a lot about where my calories come from. I have also learned that some things aren't as "awful" as I thought they were, and that some things I thought were "good" choices weren't. It's all about educating yourself, not judging or belittling yourself. How great of you to be doing what you are for you and your wonderful husband, and those darling kids of yours. emoticon
