Moving In

Saturday, June 30, 2012

We had our closing yesterday and it went well! Man what a horrible weekend to move. I took the dogs to the house to see it and they were hyperventilation too much from the heat I couldn't keep them there long. They were not so good with all the stairs either. Their whole lives they have dealt with maybe 2 steps getting in and out of the house. It will be an adjustment. They were terrified of the basement steps. Bella came down shaking and the other 2 wont even attempt ugh lol Maybe thats an ok thing. Then we can have the cats eat down there without the dogs messing with their food.

After the closing the sellers Realtor said that they told us to contact them if we had any questions. So we emailed the husband last night because he was so techy that we couldn't figure out all his cords coming out of the walls in 5 spots for internet. He emailed back super fast and said yesterday was one of the saddest days of his life leaving the house. He said he would clue us in on the neighbors lol

Scott woke up at 5 am this morning and started loading up his truck again. It wasn't "homie" yet he said. Aka man cave #1 isn't finished and it was screaming to him, come and get me! There are 3 man caves, an office, the garage is heated and a total man cave. Then theres a man cave in the basement. The kitchen is mine, the pocket room is getting a treadmill I decided at some point and I am putting babies in the upstairs other room. Yep I told him, baby go in here lol I saw my friends baby Thursday night and UGHHH I am feeling so ready these days. Ok I better load up my little SUV and get to the house before he thinks I fled.

It took our puppy over a year to realize there were stairs going upstairs. Had no problem with basement stairs up and down, just seemed blink do the fact there there was another set of stairs. It was nice keeping him off that level. Now we just use baby gates for our son and for for the dog. Enjoy moving in, take your time! It's ok to have boxes months from now:)

You look perfect in front of the house. Welcome to your new home!!

Is the air conditioner not on yet at the house?

The pets will get used to it and love it. It sounds like they will have more room to roam if they over come their fears.

Congratulations! It looks so cute! My dog won't go down our uncarpeted basement stairs either. I am okay with that!

emoticon on the new home! Best wishes to you and your family!!!

BTW - my cat always had her litter box in the basement. I've had 2 dogs in this house and neither one liked/likes to go in our basement, either ... and we have been here 13 years - go figure! We don't have A/C, either - ... you get used to it (more or less).

Is the garage attached? If so be careful with the heated garage feature, because CO2 from the car when it's running get sucked back into the house. We had to close up the vent in ours cause it was happening.

Congrats on the house! It's so freaking adorable! Can't wait to see it after you make it your own :) So happy for you guys!!!
