I had a great month: 80 miles walked, 6 miles biked (just got my bike back today :), tracked my food daily, lost 8 pounds. Somehow, even after writing and reading this I am disappointed. My body measurements haven't changed, which seems odd. My calorie goal was often surpassed daily. I am impatient.

That said, I am in a much better place than I have ever been in. I truly enjoy getting out and moving daily - I like to do an hour daily. I am more aware of what I am eating, and I think I am slowly making better choices. So now I work on my mindset, especially to recognize and celebrate the changes I have made, even though I haven't reached my target weight in a month (I am fully aware that is totally unreasonable :)

Numbers. Juuuust numbers...

To a healthy us!

    Remember, it's not always about the numbers. I, too, get super-frustrated when I know I've worked out pretty intensely, monitored my eating, etc.--and the scale doesn't move downward. There are soooo many factors, though--water retention, muscle growth (since muscle weighs more than fat), etc. That's why I've been really focusing in on the non-scale stuff lately, and that has really helped keep me going. It sounds like you've got a handle on that, too--it's just important to remember it when the going gets rough! Right there with you! emoticon

    These things are not always in sync. I seem to lose mass at times when the pounds are staying the same.
