Thanks HEALTHYSLIM2 for asking for an update!

This week has just been killer! And next week will be a 65hr work week, so I feel pooped already! But I try to keep my goals in mind and do the best that I can. I can say that this week I have been much more positive which really helps getting through work and keeps me from wanting to binge. I've already warned the BF that we've been eating out way too much and starting July 1st be are going to start making more meals at home...which is kinda hard when we both get off at 830pm and 930pm, but we did really good in May...June just kind of fell off with him doing OT and me doing 12days straight of working. But we've learned our lessons! No more burning ourselves out like that.

Well have a great weekend Sparkers!

Hey - loved the update. Thanks! Sounds like it's going to be quite a week ahead, so here's a thought to add to CHRISBEM's terrific ideas...
I try to get really healthy snacks and keep them handy. Because when I get home and it's been a long day and I am hungry, I really want to eat RIGHT THEN. So if I grab a Fage yogurt, or some prepared edamame, carrot sticks with or wothout dip or a bit of turkey jerky (don't do what I do sometimes and hold the bag... portion it out! - haha) that tides me over while I either warm up someting already prepared, or cook a quick meal. And how about slow cooker - do you have one? It's so nice to come home to something hot, healthy and yummy!! And there are a lot of recipes that incorporate veggies in ways that you might not "notice" them so much!! emoticon
Anyway, here's to a great week for you and your BF!! Starting off a new month STRONG!

Thanks CHRISBEM for the tips...I can and do sometimes make big meals that I can break down for leftovers but I HATE veggies! If you listen to my house on days the hunny cooks it sounds like he is arguing with a 5yr old to eat their veggies! lol

I run into the same issue of having a hard time motivating myself to cook when I get home at 8:30PM and have to be up in 8 hours. Some things I found that help:

1. On my days off, I cook up big batches of healthy stuff. Any leftovers I put into containers that are just the right size for one serving and freeze them. Makes an easy grab for something quick and easy when I don't have time.

2. Precut veggies are fabulous! I love at a couple of the stores I shop at, they have some fresh veggies like onion and bell pepper and celery prediced - makes it a lot quicker to make recipes during the week require lots of time solely because of veggies needing to be cut. I also find preskewered veggies for shishkabobs a lot.
