WUB last week of June .

Exercise 500 calories + 6 days a week (donít just exercise for minutes but make it quality exercise)
-----done for 3 days this week. Still have a cold but getting better

Take one active rest day per week
---I took 2 this week

Do Strength Training 3-4 times a week
---almost there on this one!


Eat 6-7 Freggies a day
---Slipping on this will re-focus


One day per week allow myself to go over calories by 100 or so. Just to reset my metabolism
----no problem, goal met!


Less Snacking after dinner. Limit to one snack
---- Not doing good on snacking (feel free to yell at me here)


Apply for at least one job per week
--- Done, Applied for at least 4


This week has been interesting. I started heart meds for my RVOT PVC's (fancy for heart beats wrong, lol) They should help me with my tired feeling and the dizziness. And so far they have some. If the meds don't work I get a procedure called ablation (sp?) They stick a metal wire into my vein/artery and remove the problem. yuck.

I have been slipping lately. My job stress is not helping. They switched the classroom I am in and I am expected to clean this one and rearrange it too! After I did my other classroom. Plus we have to clock out at the end of our shift before we use the bathroom. Since I don't get bathroom breaks this made me angry. They can't pay me for 2 mins while i pee but they can let me take out the trash on my way home. (off the clock of course)

Silly place to work and I am stressed trying to find a new job.

Feel free to yell at me for overeating. I know I am doing bad stuff to my body! :)

    Thanks to my wonderful spark friends!!

I was called Friday night and was offered a job I interviewed for on Wednesday.

So I am a very short timer now!! YEAH!

As a teacher's aide not a teacher but it gets my foot in the door. I also will get to use the bathroom between classes!!!

Teachers have to hold it more than most people but my current work is crazy!!!!

    Why did I immediately think of leaving the trash where I had to sign out? Since it is their work and you are not being paid.

  No yelling here. Obviously your body's way of letting you know something's not working.

As for after dinner snacking: instead of limiting it (stay with me here) allow yourself healthy snacks. Most of the time, it's more tempting when you forbid it (take me and ice cream - craved it for a long time. Bought some, haven't cracked the seal yet....)

As for fruits and veggies, you're probably getting more than you think. One serving of freggies is 1/2 cup OR 1 small (like tennis ball size) apple/peach/other round fruit or veggie. 1 cup of salad also counts (have you seen how little 1 cup of salad is?)

Cut yourself some slack on the food side - focus on exercise as it is a great stress reliever - and just try to stay healthy! Oh, yeah, and keeping my fingers crossed that you find another job soon!

    Maybe try limiting your after-dinner snacking to fruits and vegies? I like fat-free yogurt with fresh fruit in it at night or in the afternoon. Otherwise, you're doing great. And with work, remember you're a short-timer cos you won't be there long! I already told you what I think of their idiotic bathroom break "rules" and they can't enforce them. When you've gotta go, you've gotta go! emoticon

    Karen, I hope you find a fabulous job soon. Please don't beat yourself up you are doing a wonderful job and are an inspiration to a lot of people; I wish I was further along in the weight loss like you. It sounds like you have a plan and are working it amazingly well most days - better than I would! LOL Enjoy the weekend, it's gonna be a scorcher here in Atlanta. emoticon
