Day 168: If Bugs Bunny Were to Binge..

That was me yesterday. :( Not sure why I can have a few really good days where it's not much of a struggle and I do really good and then all of a sudden I get a day where I just CAN'T STOP EATING!!! I ate ALL DAY!!! I took pictures of some but not all of what I ate. I walked on the treadmill broken up through out the day trying to get my mind off of food. I went to the store. I even watched TV for a little bit, which I normally never do.. or rarely. Nothing worked until my stomach ached from being so full. :( Not sure why I couldn't get enough. And it was veggies I was craving. I couldn't get enough veggies! lol! The only thing I ate that wasn't a veggie was watermelon and raisins and almonds, other than that I pigged out on veggies all day.
Today we are leaving for the mountains though so I won't be home to pig out. I'm thankful to be going also because it's going to be SOOO hot here this weekend. And I'm thankful my MIL will be here to take care of garden while we're gone so everything doesn't burn up.

Breakfast: Banana


And then snacking begins with Broccoli. I ate a TON of Broccoli!!!


and watermelon..


For lunch I ate a WHOLE BAG of stir fry veggies!! I didn't use the whole sauce packet though that comes with it. I just put a drizzle of my soy veggie dip that I'm also addicted to on it after it was done.


And Dinner.. another Big Salad..I took the picture from the side this time so you can how I end up piling it up until stuff starts to roll off. lol! It's in a pasta bowl too so it's also deeper than a regular plate. Probably too much after I had been eating non stop all day. But at least it was a salad! :)


I also munched on red, yellow, and green peppers and dip, and like I said before too many raisins and almonds... and a couple of pickles too. I REALLY had a binge day. I BIG veggie binge day! Not sure what that was about. I thought, maybe if I eat some GF pasta or GF bread or something I would feel more full and then wouldn't want to eat the house down, but none of that sounded appetizing. I HAD TO HAVE VEGGIES!! MORE AND MORE VEGGIES!! Oh well, new day. :)

    If you're going to have a bad day, at least you were binging on veggies. It takes A LOT of those to over your range, then say adding in one pint of ice cream, or maybe some cookies. Right? You are doing great! One bad Bugs Bunny day is not going to slow you down. emoticon
I thought of you, yesterday when I was adding some YouTube video workout links to the Tracy team page, and came across a treadmill workout. It looked like fun! emoticon

    i myself can eat fruit nonstop. i find though with foods with a high water content they make me feel full sooner. raw veggies can take a while to eat, but it looks like you hace a lot of positive quotes to encourage us.

    Glad it was a veggie craving and not a sugar craving. I totally understand how some days are like that and when nothing seems to satisfy that food craving. It takes a lot will power not to eat everything you can get your hands on. Your scale didn't show a big gain and you can get rid of the little it did in one day of exercise and food choices!

    Next time you go on a hungry binge try drinking about 2 bottles of water before you eat. It will help you feel full faster and it may have been your body was craving nutrients it is not getting. Sometimes you need to just eat. Also, make sure your calorie intake is correct since you are working out so much. I hope this helps. What I do with my water is drink a full bottle before bed and when I first wake up before I exercise. My routine is pretty normal.

    Oh my goodness, I was the same way last friday! I went to a friends wedding and the groom is Indian, so there were tons of really good veggie dishes. There was a 3 bean salad that was wonderful & I couldn't get enough of it. I know people must have thought I was weird but it actually made me feel good. I have decided it doesn't matter how you cook collards, I do not like them.

    OK, sounds like a Bugs Bunny Binge... bbut thankfully it wasn't a Porky Pig Binge!! I wish my binges were veggies. From now on, I'm going to try and make it veggies because then I won't feel as guilty afterwards. I know it's a struggle to not eat when that is all that you can think of. Sometimes it is so hard to get the thoughts out of your head. My therapist told me to journal when those feelings come around to try and get to why I am feeling like that. Ususally my binges are coming from an emotional place so it is something that I need to do to identify why. Some days I know why and do it anyway, those are the really bad binges. I need to not be near a grocery store at that time because I end up buying all kinds of things to sabotage myself.

You are doing great! You are getting so close to the 140's!!! You inspire me with your conviction and your perseverence! You are a strong woman and you CAN do this!!! Have a great day Sara, keep smiling!! emoticon emoticon
