When I attended my first water aerobics class 4 weeks ago I wasn't sure I would like it. Even though I live in a small town I knew no one in the class. At the second session a friend with whom I had taught for 20+ years walked in. It is great having her in class as we constantly joke with each other as to who is working the hardest.
The instructor does a great job of choosing exercises that can be modified for everyone in the class. One lady is 91 yrs. old.
Today when I left the class I was totally exhausted. Feels great to be able to do jumping jacks and lunges again. New knee feels great. However, knee replaced two years ago does not like squats.
I highly recommend water aerobics. So glad the hotel lets us have classes there and the price is very reasonable. Best of all no gym fees or membership requirements.
