Child's Play - Bouncing My Way To Weight Loss

Keeping Aiden, my 28 month old grandson busy can be a bit of a challenge, especially in the long blisteringly hot afternoons. The mornings are busy. We get outside by 6 am to water our garden and play in the yard. There's laundry and housekeeping chores to be done. At 9:00 we play in the pool and for the next hour alternate between working on his swimming skills and just having fun splashing and jumping in the water.
After his nap, the long afternoon stretches out in front of us. Each day is pretty much the same; we have read a ton of books, there is a rainbow of Playdoh crumbles beneath my dining room table and both of us want to do something besides watching videos and TV to burn off some energy. I like the Wiggles as much as the next person, but I have the song"Fruit Salad" stuck in my head and am considering a lobotomy.
I thought back on what my children's favorite toys were and while Aiden was napping, I went on line and looked up Hoppity Hops. I checked out Ebay and then found the manufacturer's website. The prices were much cheaper and WOAH! They had Hoppity Hops for adults! They even had some that were rated for up to 300lbs! You know that I had to have one. They had a special going on so, I bought one for my daughter too.
They finally arrived and Adien and I have been having a blast! He is still working on getting it going and tends to just bounce in one place or lean on it and bounce on his tummy. As for me, I am getting a heck of a workout! My thighs and butt let me know I am not as young or as in shape as I should be, but what a fun way to get there!
