I've been given permission to share this with people that do not know me in person and/or my dear daughter. She is pregnant. We are all thrilled. Her husband was just giddy yesterday when they returned from her first prenatal appointment. (mainly to verify she was pregnant.) The verdict; the nurse told her, "you're VERY pregnant."
Today they came back with sonogram pictures of the little peanut. My sons are going to be uncles. My brother will be a great uncle. My parents will be great grand parents, which sort of boggles my mind. And of course, I will become a grandmother and I'm looking forward to it.
Well, someone had posted a congratulations on dd's facebook page and she deleted it so others wouldn't find out. Asking how this person found out, sourced it to the dad's new girlfriend, whom no one really likes, is the Chatty Cathy. Oh boy, so they now believe that whole side of the family knows. (some of them don't even know they've moved out of state yet)
I know they're waiting until she's further along before releasing the news to everyone. I think they should have the right to share the news with whom they want when they want. They weren't thrilled to find out the cat had been released from the bag, but they're not really worried about it either. Life goes on.
Now we're trying to figure out how to have a "virtual" baby shower, since all of their friends are in another state.
