Now that I am down 30 pounds, I have started really tracking and journaling everything throughout my day, including weight, food, exercise, moods, sleep patterns, etc. I am really trying to get in touch with how my body responds to certain foods, eating times, stress, etc. It is amazing in just a few short weeks how much I know about my own body. I know it is not recommended to step on a scale every morning, but it is very motivating for me. And if there is a weight gain from the day before, I can review my day to determine what may or may not have impacted my body. For example, I have discovered that when I consume 30 grams of carbs or more, I typically do not lose or sometimes even gain. I also learned that I tend to lose more when I make lunch my primary meal of the day, and finish off my workouts with a protein shake supplement for dinner. This is a work in progress, but it provides me the motivation to keep at my goal. I will be well on my way by the end of this year! And I feel amazing!!!!
