$#&% SCALE!!!!!!

Not even because of the number on the scale today.... It was actually happily down 3.6 today. However, now I KNOW it is out to destroy me!!!!
I'm kidding.... I think... emoticon

Today was supposed to be day 8 for the 100 consecutive days of exercise and in all honesty, I don't know if I can do it....

I got on my scale to weigh in today for the BL challenge and my scale slid from under me as I was stepping up. So I stomped down hard to catch myself from a fall and managed to stomp onto the corner of my scale and now my foot hurts SO bad I can barely stand much less walk. It's swelling and throbbing too. I can barely move my toes and the pain is radiating to my ankle. I hit the corner at the part of my foot where it is on the inside arch just before the heel.

Thirty minutes later, there is a definitely a lump and I think it might be turning purple... Noooo! Unless it miraculously feels better in the next few hours, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to much of anything other than putting my foot up. I've been icing it so far but not sure if I should try heat... probably not. Sigh..........

I have been on such a roll and I was looking forward to doing some dancing to the songs that I posted on Monday. Also was going to walk a mile and a half to our local park with the kids. This is SO discouraging.... $#&% SCALE!!!

  That sucks about your foot. Don't give up though ok? Keep it up & just wiggle around a lot, moving your arms n stuff. Do some kind of crazy dance with your kids in the room! You will all get a laugh & a little exercise in @ the same time! The laughing will help you to feel better too. Luv n hugs 2 ya!

    First, ouch! You need to paint your scale red and attach a tail and horns to the mean sucker! Put that foot up, ice it and some ibuprofen will help with swelling too.

Second, I agree - you don't have to lose your streak! Work those arms, girl!

Third, woohoo!! 3.6 pounds? You're doing amazing! Maybe paint the little devil half red.

    Sucks. But you CAN dance from your chair...just boogie on down with your upper body, and you can keep that foot up. And CONGRATS on your loss, btw...that is always a good thing.

    Crazy evil scale!!!! Sorry you busted your foot. I agree with Shay I would take today as a rest day and let your foot feel a little better or do some strength training maybe upper body :/ Hope it's not too serious and you can get back to your routine tomorrow.

    I would just use this day as your rest day, and when your rest day comes around, take the walk then. You're doing to fantastic, and it is unfortunate you got hurt! Be sure to ice it and elevate! But also keep an eye on it, don't want it to be something serious and ignore it!
I'd do strength training, maybe build your own strength training workout that targets everything.

    Sorry about that! But knowing you, you will find a good exercise for other parts of the body!!! Yes to your question about strength training. I am sure it counts as exercise.

    Poor baby! And you are working so hard. You are doing all the right things--ice, elevation. Don't let the scale break your streak.

If you can, get some arnica cream to put on the bruise. Ask at your pharmacy or health food store [it's herbal]. It will make the swelling go down and heal the bruise quicker. Really! I used to go out with an Olympic athlete who told me his trainer used it on him.

    OH NO!! Sometimes it just seems like the harder we try the more crap has to happen to try to knock us off course. Don't let that happen, sweetness. I agree with the previous posters. Ice and elevate for sure. I also agree that you should try some chair exercises so you can continue on your streak. Man-- that stinks, girl! emoticon

    Yes do one of the videos in the chair if you can do nothing else. Believe me you might think they really can't work out to much in a chair but man they will make you tired if you do them right. There is some for cardio as well as strength training in the chair. emoticon

    Oh no! I agree with the other commenters. Take care of your foot but you can still do upper body stuff in the meantime.

    Cardio might be out today but don't forget, you can still do arm and core exercises! Or try doing one of the sit and be fit videos. I hope your foot feels better!
