I weighed on Friday morning. I was 139. Not that bad, but compared to 7 months ago it's significant and I feel every single pound. Especially this evening. My gut is bloated, my legs feel fat and when I sit my belly just hangs out.
I keep telling myself "today I'll really watch it and stay away from rice, corn tortillas and ice cream. But then I'll go out for an hour and a half run up the side of the mountain, and think I deserve a treat! That sort of thinking must be killing my efforts. I'm mega active every single day. We even climbed a 14ner last week! It was a 9.4 hour hike carrying a 20 lb backpack!
There is another problem that I noticed right away. I had to double my Blood pressure medicine when we moved up here. The minute I did that my metabolism slowed down to a crawl. THis made me realize that when I halved the medicine last year was at the same time when I started to lose weight effectively.
I'm pretty bummed out tonight, but I also started to do strength training again with my aerobic stuff. Hopefully I can kick start the metabolism again.
I do switch up the aerobic stuff quite a bit throughout the week, so I know I'm keeping my body guessing.
I'm going to start tracking my calories to see what the heck is going on.
I told hubby tonight that I probably need an 8 week detox from certain foods. I thought I was doing well, but I feel so bloated.
My clothes are very very snug and I don't look or feel the way I want to.
I need help!
