Well, here I am back finally. My week since Thursday has been very eventful and we have been out alot!
DD and family arrived Friday night and after greeting Gds's we settled them into bed without much trouble. Simon ( 1 1/2 ) fell in love with Lady and followed her around saying " dog. Tail. dog. dog dog! We had a catchup with DD and SIL and all went to bed. Up early and all went out to breakfast. I had 2 poached eggs and 2 slices of dry, rye toast. I was pleased with my choices. We came home and packed everything into 2 cars and all went to DH's sisters' house. They live in the next town. A wonderful family BBQ ensued and we had a beautiful sunny day for our party. I ate too much but was happy non the less. After the party we all came home but no one wanted any dinner. DD and SIL took Paul ( 5 months) out to visit friends , leaving SImon with us. It is our first time babysitting our grandson and we had a ball. He is so smart and incredibly cute. I hope to get DH to load some pictures tomorrow for me. Sunday morning, we made breakfast for all and then helped them pack up for the 4 hour drive home. We were all exhausted after such a busy, intense weekend. We rarely see them so we get alot of visiting into a short visit. DH and I were exhausted and just vegged for the rest of the day.
Friday I got in over 2000 steps, way over my daily goal of 1500. Monday was shopping and I got in another 1800 that day.
Unfortunately, I have done something to my upper back. I am in constant pain and have a hard time moving or sleeping. I have been resting since Monday afternoon when it started. Yesterday was GD's graduation and I wasn't going to miss it so I took a Tylenol 3 that I had. It allowed me to sit painfree for the 2 hour ceremony. She was gorgeous. We went back to their house to visit with DSD mother from Alberta, a very close friend of mine. It was after 11 when we got in. I have been taking the Tylenol 3 every 6 hours today to manage the pain and have a doctor's appointment Thursday morning. Till then It is sleep from the drug and try to stay comfortable. The pain runs through my shoulder blade and shoulder and down my arm into the back of my hand. It is intense even with the narcotic.
I am going to go out early tomorrow , after taking a Tylenol 3, for a walk not matter what. We have some hot and humid weather on the way for 5 or so days so I need to get out early.
I tracked part of my food today and will get back on track tomorrow , getting in all my water, walking and counting my calories. I did gain 1/2 lb this past week but am only surprised it wasn't more. I have great expectations for this week. Forward now and on to greater things.
