It was another errand-running day for me today as my son had an orthodontist appt. I didn't really get many bargains today (you know I had to run errands since I was already in town, right?) other than some things at Sam's Club.
I did go to Wal-Mart the other day and price matched some items including strawberries and cauliflower and the guy who was checking me out said "Wow, you got some good deals." Then I gave him my coupons and he got a little more animated and said "Wow, you saved a lot of money!" I just love it when I get positive feedback from cashiers when I try to save money!
Regarding the cauliflower, I found a recipe for roasted garlic cauliflower that I want to try my hand at making since I LOVE the garlic cauliflower by Birds Eye in the frozen food section. The cauliflower (head) cost me $1.79 after price matching and was originally I think $2.79. I'll update how it was when I make it.
I do plan to take the kids to some library events this week that are free. I'm doing all I can to save money but make it a fun summer too, so hopefully I will find even more ideas and events to take them besides the free summer bowling and library events.
