Bring your own food. That's what I'm starting to do. We went out to the movies the other day and I brought my own snack with me. One cup of Kashi Go Lean in a bag. I also brought in my own water bottle. Instead of however many calories is a bag of movie popcorn, I had 140 calories.
Now I don't think Kashi Go lean is better than movie popcorn. I love that stuff with extra butter baby! Yet Kashi Go Lean is tasty, and I find I now think ahead and bring stuff like that with me when I go out. The other night we went to a Mexican restaurant and I brought my own tortilla.
My family made some comments about that, but I told them hey I know how many calories this whole wheat, high fiber tortilla has in it (85) so I'm using it.
So BYOF and you can still eat tasty foods and keep your calories within the range you need to.
