Oh why is it that my comfortable chair calls to me so loudly and so long? I need to get up and move but with back pain poking at me, my chair always looks better than a workout... every day i vow to get things off of my treadmill... even 10 minutes of walking would do me some good... motivation is not my friend... motivation is pushed away... motivation is the ugly word... i'd rather sit and read... i'd rather sleep... grandkids are in and out here, especially with this being summer, and i can't keep up with the stuff they leave behind... shoes, toys, drink bottles, pillows and blankets... it's easier to sit back and enjoy them, instead of getting onto them all the time... my life seems to be going in circles instead of moving ahead... and exercise and weight loss don't seem to be in the picture at all... just sayin'...

    A body in motion stays in motion. A body at rest stays at rest. No one can do this for you. You need to do it yourself. Motivation needs to come from within. no one can give it to you. Would you like to live a long, healthy life with those grandchildren?? Then get up and get moving. It doesn't have to be far or long or hard, but get out of the chair and move!! Activity is not exercise. It helps to be active and to exercise. I wish you all the best. I don't mean to sound harsh about this, I run a fitness center and listen to women all day long. You have to just do it. Once you do it will become easier. By a pedomter or better yet a fitbit and track your movement. It gets easier and easier and your body will love and crave the movement.

    Taking the first step is always the hardest. But, you know that if you get up and do it, you will actually feel better. I wish it were easier to "just do it."
