The start of summer has been a time of anxiety this year. My son is going to camp again after taking a year off to recover from a truly horrible camp experience. His anxiety about this feeds my own and mine feeds his. A vicious circle.
But it has also been a time to learn. Our internet was down for the entire weekend so instead of spending my time googling, I made bracelets. It felt good to create. And with my hands busy with rings and pliers, I had less time to binge.
Evenings are still the worst for me, and I have yet to find a solution that keeps me away from late night snacks. But I am still trying, and that is the main thing.
