A set back. ugh

Tuesday, June 26, 2012

So last week was a LONG week... I went out to NY on Wednesday night to see a band... drove home, had an early work day the next day... (woke up at 5, got home the night before between 1:30-2:00) worked until 3, drove back home, drove back to NYC, got to our room, went to brooklyn for another show, ate some delicious pizza- probably the best i've ever had, like ever. drank a lot of beer, had a lot of crazyness, late night fun. Got back to our room around 4am and slept in, woke up, walked around LES for a while, ate some lunch, went to the Highline Park, walked around there for a while, stayed outside in the rain. Finally got back home on Friday... and we ate dinner and slept.. not too exciting.
Saturday i woke up feeling refreshed from the city whirlwind.... did some kickboxing- after i finished 1 work out, i did another (they are only 20m so i ususally do 2 or 3) and about 5minutes into the 2nd one I was doing jumping snap kicks and I totally landed on my left foot wrong, it rolled and i fell over.. twisted my ankle, crying in pain. Thankfully my husband was right there- he was doing p90x plyo- so he stopped and took my shoe off for me, helped me upstairs, got me advil, icepack and lots of water and made me rest my food. elevated. it didnt swell too much and was pretty okay... i was able to walk around on it fine-it was sore, but not to bad.. took the next day off, so it could rest and it started hurting in another spot... put more ice on it- and more advil... and well it felt fine yesterday and feels good today.

So I decided yesterday after doing some research- I am going to do Insanity! I am excited.. I was going to do the fit test yesterday- but decided one more day of resting my anlke was a good idea... so today it offically begins. I am nervous that its going to be too hard for me... but i know i can do anything I put my mind to.. so here s to accountabilty, and strenth and fun and loosing the last 15lbs!
