I just came back from an early walk with a good friend. We talk sewing, gardening, knitting/crochet and kids. We even ran into another church friend on the way! We walk rather slowly for me but today was supposed to be a cross-train or rest day for me. So I consider that hour my warm-up. I will do a library video to do some strength training or yoga soon. I'm wearing a camisole/tank top I sewed myself (it was supposed to be for my daughter but she didn't like the neckline. I do.) I think I will make more of them someday as they are nice for summer.

I forgot to mention the other day that I did splurge and buy two downloadable weight loss meditation cds. I had my sweet husband burn them onto cds for me so that we can listen while we sleep. I bought from Health Journeys (I've used several other of Belleruth's stuff and they are great.) I bought one from Belleruth and one from David Illig. (You can listen to a sample online.) So it only used up about half of my birthday money. I am thinking of buying a medicine ball with the rest. Or a weighted hula hoop. We'll see. I may get both eventually. (In writing group we wrote about an unusual honor we had received and I wrote how I won best hula hooper at a party. I do a great job on Wii Fit Plus too. But then we discussed the weighted ones and an 80 yr old was intrigued too. If I find one, I will have to bring it for her to give it a whirl!)
So I listened to the Belleruth cd last night. I fell asleep rather quickly to it. She does say in the intro that is ok and it is good to listen to 1-2 times a day. So I will.
I am so excited. We were cleaning the den yesterday and I paid my youngest to do the prelim work. I realize a lot of the mess is mine to go through. Ack. (It's files and sewing stuff and all.) So she found my old mp3 player. I since received an ipod shuffle several years ago. I use that to listen to knitting podcasts while I clean or knit. But I am going to use this other one to put my C25K running podcasts onto and the weight loss meditations on. So I can listen to those without disturbing the knitting ones. (Since there is no screen, I like to keep things in order so I can listen sequentially.)
So, I am off to do a dvd after breakfast settles.
My middle kid is leaving for Boundary Waters tonight. So I will be down to two kids for the rest of the week. I have to continue to clean house as my 11 yr old will have her birthday party Friday. I really need to get going on that! Clean, plan/make cake and such, contact everyone since no one RSVPs (gr). It will be fun. Hopefully the weather is nice for the pool party portion. Otherwise, I need a plan B.
