Welp...In my last entry, I was feeling very discouraged and must have given up shortly after that because I abandoned SP for many months afterwards.
Nowadays, I've been logging my food at MyFitnessPal, and I prefer their tracker to SP's, but I miss the sense of community that SP offers (as well as being able to customize a purdy Spark Page, haha).
Anyway, I officially went back on a "non diet" (just trying to make healthier choices for life instead of any fad diet) on May 1, 2012, and have kept at it for the longest that I've ever kept at a diet -- almost two whole months now. I'm pleased to say that I've lost 26 lbs total since my last recorded weight from last year, and 13 lbs since my "official" weigh-in on May 23 when my fancy new scale arrived.
I feel great! I have successfully cut out *most* fast foods and processed foods, and that has really helped with my bad knee and my depression and even anxiety, and of course I feel a sense of pride for sticking with these changes and that they are actually paying off. My clothes are starting to get loose, it's easier to get in and out of my tiny little car, and I can walk farther w/o feeling like I'm dying.
It's nice to feel my age again!!
