I did the kettlebell training for the second time. The first time I tried it, I had no plan other than to do 100 swings and I didn't like it. But after reading Tracy Rifkeind's book The Swing I learned to do so many sets with rest in between.

I really like this workout which is saying a lot. Other than walking I don't like working out. But this is different. And it feels good to have this as an addition to my workout routines.

    I'm glad you enjoyed your workout. I find the kettlebell to be easier to use while watching a DVD workout. I bought the Bob Harper Be Fit kettlebell and I really like the shape of it, but I didn't like his workout DVD so I bought the kettlebell DVD set from I really like Holly's workout style. She says the biggest mistake people make with a kettlebell is not using a heavy enough one to get a good workout. The right weight kettlebell actually helps with form and technique. I bought a 20 pounder and have found it to work well for me overall. There are some exercises where I wish it were lighter and some where I wish it were heavier, but overall the 20 pounder is a good size for me. A good kettlebell routine definitely works your whole body and gets your heartrate up. When you are trying to stand from a full squat with a 20 pound kettlebell held in front of your chest it takes all your muscles including your thighs, glutes, back, core and arms. Great Workout!

    I have always wanted to try kettleball. You have inspired me to go out and buy a set and start working on it. Do you feel the workout all over or mainly in your arms? I need help all over but it would be great to get some extra workout on my arms (which are a little flabby!).
