Time flies...

Monday, June 25, 2012

and when I get side-tracked I manage to accidentally delete an entire blog when I come back to it....three days later.

So, let's see...

I'm grateful I've been maintaining roughly the same weight since least within a 5 pound range. Amazing? Yep...considering my exercise has slacked off and I've been eating out more. I noticed it recently starting to creep a bit more up than just fluctuate, so I decided to sign up for SP's summer virtual 5K and a training plan to go with it. I'm not getting off to a great start, but I've started. I'm starting to be more aware of what I'm eating and have been increasing water and veggies...again. I had a brief Gaelic football season in April and May; it felt good to get back out and play. The commute to Atlanta, though, sucks. I was hoping to make it out for some practices, but that hasn't happened yet. I might just have to let it go... we'll see.

My garden's expanded this year. I'm going to have grape-roma's coming out my ears! The most prolific plant I had last year, Juliette, I bought two of this year along with three other types (it took me a while to find the Juliettes) and then 4 volunteer's popped up. I've already made a couple batches of salsa and tomato/basil sauce.

I'm hoping to resurrect my motivation and keep it up. A couple major hurdles have been overcome. Now I'm trying to get rid of some of the irons I've got in the's getting WAY too congested! So much to do, so little time. Prioritize? What's that? Yeah...that would be me. Too many interests and not enough time to do any of them any good. I'm slowly whittling away and getting rid of those that just don't make the cut....or I pass the stuff on to someone with more time to devote to it (like my family history stuff...).

Deep breath in.....and out.....
In...... and out.....
In...... and out..........

So, to help me keep my motivation where it needs to be:

Maintaining and finding it a challenge to choose which activities you have time for because you have energy for all sounds like a pretty great place to be! Hoorah for noticing a creep and getting back to it. Miss seeing you more, but happy for your healthy balance!

Gorgeous garden!

Camogie - I have missed you *so* much. :)

I love your beautiful garden, it is so powerfully lush and verdant! That's some love, I know.

You know, you've hovered in a good place and you're taking action at the first sign of difficulties. I think that's the most anyone can ask of anyone else - of themselves. I'm proud of you, and you'd better be proud of you, too.

Looking forward to hearing more from you!
