Seems the temps are going to be rivalling the desert by the end of the week. With no real rain for so long, my grass is withered and will be somewhere in Kansas shortly. Along with all the plants I put in last fall.
Weight loss is going slow, like normal. I'd really hoped to drop it faster but it's not happening. I know slow and steady does it, but I want a real big loss for the surgeon in August. That's my first goal. I don't have a set number to be at then. Just want it to impress him that I'm serious about losing weight.
Keeping my carbs under 50 is a challenge. The calorie average has been at 1583 for the past 2 weeks. The carbs are hovering at 53 I think. That's with some days at 25 and others around 65 or 70. I decided not to weigh myself until Friday. I'd been tracking every day and it was making me crazy going up and down over the same three pounds.
Doing laundry, want to cook dinner and get all the "hot" stuff done tonight before the 100+ heat makes it in. Tomorrow I'm setting up the hoses to water the trees and shrubs and plants outside. We had been hand watering stuff, but it's too much now. An hour later and everything is dry as a bone.
I am testing using a binder for my peristomal hernia while I work and walk to see if it helps the swelling. I have one that's a bit snug (hurts after a while), a HUGE one from the hospital that I can wrap around me 3 times and a NuHope Hernia belt with a hole for my bag that hurts to wear with the hole reinforcement over my flange. I'll figure out something so I can excercise.
