I don't own a bathroom scale and really don't have room for one in my tiny place. When I started SP I went to a doctor's office where I had been seen and asked the nurse to weigh me, so I know that 238 was my weight after several days on the program [I had just estimated my weight to begin].
The following week I found a scale at a local thrift store, but it was priced too high. Still I hopped on and weighed myself right there in the store: 236. Since I had been watching my eating and exercise I presumed it was fairly accurate. The next week when I went to weigh in at the thrift store the scale had been sold and they were going out of business.
Since then, I have looked in stores, at friend's houses and lots of places without luck. But today I had my nursing home ministry and I thought, "They must weigh these people!" So I asked the activities director and she showed me a scale in the shower room near where we have Bible study. She helped me use it and I weighed 236.
Well, this is a super-accurate digital scale, so it must be right. The scale at the thrift store was probably off by at least a pound. I'm disappointed that I haven't lost more. But then, I was wearing shoes, phone, keys & wallet in pocket, etc. Still, I haven't gained any either and I'm toning up with exercise. And now the search for a scale is over; I can weigh myself here at the same time every 2 weeks. Hooray!
