This weekend we went to Playa del Carmen. We have lived, for the last 2.5 years, less than an hour away and we have never visited it. So Saturday, after work, we drove to Playa and found a hotel near the famous 5th avenue. We walked the length of it twice, found reasonably priced restaurant and had supper. I'm usually hesitant about having salad because everything is fried and drowned in dressing. But this time it was grilled Balsamic chicken salad. And I asked for the balsamic dressing on the side. It SO delicious.
Afterwards, we walked some more and we found a little open air bar (little hole in the wall) with some live music. So we had a few beers and sang along to wonderful classics. We had a great time. We headed home the next day after a lunch of fish tacos (YUM!).
Needless to say that apart from all the walking, I didn't do any strength training. Got to get cracking on it this week if I want to meet my goal. We are moving on Monday and as our work is dependent on the internet, we've asked them to change our internet over to the other place this week. This way, we shouldn't have any interruption in our work. But this means that the internet will be disconnected where we are now. So if I'm not online for a few days, don't worry. I'll still be sweating it off!
