I only say that because I walked that silly dog TWICE today! Half mile this morning, almost a mile and a half tonight. Who am I and what have they done with Angela? LOL
It's been a great day. I started out walking the dog. Our 3 1/2 year old was awake and decided she was coming, so I got to walk the dog AND push the stroller. We didn't go far, but we went.
Worship services were wonderful. They always are, but today we did something different. Our preacher just got home from a funeral and had just received word of a close family friend passing while he and his wife were gone, so to give him a breather the elders and the deacons organized a song and scripture reading service. The topic was Jesus' Crucifixion. All the songs were about that, and the reading was from the gospels depicting it. Certainly made me remember why I was there, what it is I am to be doing every day that I am given the gift of time here. It was very encouraging!
After services, we loaded up five more girls, ages 8-14 (to supplement our five ;) ) and brought them home for a sleep over. Much fun has been had all day, despite the heat. The little dog is having a grand old time, and our girls are loving have friends they can invite over. Some of the places we've lived over the past few years, we've lived too far away from where our friend base was to really have many get togethers. We've been making up for it lately! Yea!
I'm off to cool down and eat some watermelon!
