Easy Sunday

Sunday, June 24, 2012

I finally had a lazy day! This is a day of rest and restoration. I know that after this upcoming week, things will become super crazy. Plus, I'm trying to get back on track with the healthy living vow. I fell of the bandwagon for a few weeks but I have the motivation to get back on. Now I will have to find a way to work in my workouts and healthy meals on a hectic schedule. Well wish me luck with everything. I'm going to need it!!

I find that the key for me is planning, scheduling (using a calendar), and then back up planning and flexibility.

Not easy when the kids are home from school for the summer and dh is off work for the summer (he is a teacher)...but he has joined me in healthier eating...and he will probably join me for walks as soon as I start actually walking.

Without a plan...menu plan for dinners (flexibility to move things around if they don't work out), general plans for breakfast and lunch (again flexibility is a key), plan for keeping the boys busy, plan for all the chores I have to do (and getting the boys to pitch in and help)...things just fall apart. I am constantly planning and replanning and revising the plan. But it works for me!

Good luck with your hectic schedule.
