Boyfriend has gone home and am sad and wallowing. Also today is the 1 year anniversary of my dad's passing. I am allowing myself today to be a vegetable. I am not eating poorly (however am not eating much, which is just as bad I spose), but I am not forcing myself to do much of anything.
Tomorrow is the fresh start day. Gym in the am. Gym at lunch. Ride bike to work. Situps, Pressups, etc after work, and perhaps a 30 minute walk. I hope to keep up that pace the whole week (weather permitting on the bike rides and walks).

Nice. I know how expensive it is to go back and forth. I used to live in Europe and my husband in Colorado!

Boyfriend lives in the UK. We've been together for 4 years, going back and forth every 3 months (I'm there in Feb/Sept, he's here in June/Nov). I hope to reach my goal of 23 lbs by the time I go over in 11 weeks. I am really going to need to move my butt!

Where is your boyfriend? I did the long distance thing for a while and know how hard it can be . It is also great motivation though cause when they don't see you for a few weeks they will notice a bigger difference in you than seeing you everyday!

I'm a tad late to the conversation, so I'll just say that I hope today was all you wanted it to be in terms of your exercise.

You are, of course, allowed to grieve. And you are to be commended for doing so in the time frame that works best for you.

Best of luck to you in your journey back to health!

Thanks. It's been a fairly tough day but I am motivated. I see the boyfriend again in 11 weeks and I want the first word out of his mouth to be "Wow". I've lost 20 lbs in the last year (not as much as I'd hoped) but keep yoyo-ing. I gained 6 lbs in the last month which really hit me hard emotionally (my boyfriend was here for a month and his mother also came to visit so it was junk-food-apolooza). Just gotta not beat myself up and get back on track.

Thanks for your support! :)

sorry about your loss. I lost my dad 3 yrs ago next month. Glad to hear you're not using it as an excuse to eat like crazy. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm glad you have it planned out already.
Good luck to you. emoticon
